Cant stop recording!!!

I just purchased Screen Record Utility and I cant figure out how to STOP recording once its started. The app popup disappears when I hit record and it keeps recording no matter what I do. Command-Q, Command-W and esc buttons do not stop the recording. There is no indication that the app is running in the dock, so I cant Option-click to quit it that way, and when its running, the app doesent appear in the tool bar, so theres no way to quit it there either. Its like a ghost that wont stop recording in the background!!!

Ive had to restart my computer several times just to get it to stop, which is rediculouse.

If anyone can help me out here Id gladly change my rating. PLEASE HELP!!
